What It's Like...


Key Information

Departure at 8:15 a.m. from the Masaya Hotel lobby in El Poblado for a full day of adventure through the stunning landscapes of Eastern Antioquia.
Travel aboard a themed vehicle through the mountains and countryside of Antioquia, with several stops to discover local landscapes and traditions.
The first stop is Alto del Chocho Farm, where you will interact with exotic animals in a natural environment while discovering the rural lifestyle of the region.
After this visit, enjoy a relaxing boat ride across the Guatapé reservoir, surrounded by mountains and breathtaking natural scenery.
The boat will then take you to La Manuela Hacienda, an important historical and cultural site in Antioquia. After the guided visit of the hacienda, you will return by boat to the starting point on the reservoir.
For adventure seekers, optional activities are available on site, including ATV rides, paintball, buggy experiences, or helicopter flights.
The tour then stops at the iconic El Peñol Rock, where you will have the option to climb its famous staircase and admire one of Colombia’s most spectacular panoramic views (entrance fee not included).
After a traditional Antioquian lunch, explore the colorful streets of Guatapé and its famous artistic zócalos, symbols of the town’s cultural identity.
Return to Medellín at the end of the day, with an estimated arrival between 6:30 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.

The meeting point is in the lobby of Hotel Masaya, located in the El Poblado neighborhood of Medellín.
Round-trip transportation in a shared themed vehicle is included in the tour.
It is recommended to arrive a few minutes before the scheduled departure at 8:15 a.m. to ensure smooth group organization.

The tour includes some tastings of fresh tropical fruits, Colombian snacks, or traditional desserts throughout the journey.
A traditional Antioquian mountain-style lunch at a local restaurant in Guatapé is also included.


Guatapé has a mild to warm climate with daytime temperatures ranging between 20°C and 28°C.
Weather conditions can change quickly, with sunshine, clouds, and occasional light rain throughout the day. Comfortable clothing and sun protection are recommended.
